Serves 4 – 6

  • 1 long baguette
  • 3 tbsp basil pesto
  • 3 tbsp Mrs Ball’s chutney
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 red onion, finely sliced
  • 2 balls buffalo mozzarella, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • Salt and pepper

Build a braai baguette, as follows:

Slice the baguette in half, lengthwise.

Spread the one side with mayonnaise and pesto and the other side with pesto. Layer the onion, mozzarella and tomato inside and close the baguette.

Butter the outside and place the baguette onto a grill. Braai over low to medium coals, making sure the cheese melts inside.

Slice and serve.
