DESIGN INDABA TO FEATURE ALESSI, SHUTTLEWORTH

South Africa's premier creative event, Design Indaba, is taking place from 23 February at the CTICC in Cape Town. Leopard's Leap is the wine sponsor for the event, which starts with a conference and culminates in a design expo showcasing some of the best in inspirational creative thinking. From furniture and web design to fashion and food, the Indaba shows that African design is world-class.
Design Indaba is known for bringing some of the world's most famous creative thinkers to speak at the conference. Past speakers have included elBulli chef Ferran Adrià and America's queen of craft and baking, Martha Stewart.
This year's lineup has a wide variety of interesting thought leaders, inlcluding head of marketing and design for Italian design house Alessi, Alberto Alessi, South Africa's own 'Afronaut' Mark Shuttleworth, and data visualiser Ben Fry.
