Blackberry Bomb Natura Mocktail Recipe

Blackberry Bomb

Ingredients

1 cup frozen blackberries

1 cup Leopard’s Leap Natura Classic Red 

10 juniper berries

1/3 cup sugar

3 lemons, juiced

1 small sprig of rosemary

6 - 8 cups of ice

sparkling water

1 small apple, sliced

blackberries for garnish

Method

Place 4 glasses into the freezer to frost.

Place the frozen blackberries, juniper berries, Natura Red and sugar into a pot and bring to a simmer.

Smash the fruit with a whisk until it breaks down. Simmer for 15 minutes, then remove from the heat.

Allow to cool down and blend until pureed and smooth. Strain and refrigerate.

Rinse the blender and add the lemon-juice and rosemary sprig, and blend for 20 seconds. Strain the juice into a clean cup and set aside.

Place the ice into the blender and break it down in batches. Pulse it a few times, just to form chunks.

Remove the frosted glasses from the freezer, fill half-way with crushed ice, pour equal amounts of the lemon/rosemary mix into each glass, add a splash of sparkling water and top each glass with ice.

Finally, pour about 60 ml Natura Red into each glass. Garnish with apple slices and a blackberry and serve.
