LEOPARD’S LEAP SPONSORS 180º CEDERBERG MTB EXPERIENCE
Leopard’s Leap recently sponsored the 180º Cederberg MTB Experience, a grueling three-day race that took over 300 mountain bike riders on a 220 kilometer route from Clanwilliam to Bushman’s Cave to Biedouw Valley and back to Clanwilliam.
Martin Horn, the event’s project manager described the route as more “invigorating than ever before… (including) tricky jeep tracks, character-building climbs, flat ‘n fast sections, sandy stretches and river crossings”. Horn added that “it’s easy to see why this event has become such a premium attraction on the annual MTB calendar. The location is absolutely awe-inspiring.”
In the Team Categories, Team Cow (Men) took the honours, with Team Scott (Mixed), Energas (Masters Mixed), Marsilio Projects (Masters Men) and Groggers Cycling (Grandmasters) occupying the other top spots.
In the Individual Categories, Shan Wilson (Open Men) scooped the top time – almost overtaking the leading Hummer vehicle while doing so! Hannele Steyn-Kotze (Open Women), Peter Viljoen (Master Men), Estie du Plessis (Master Women) and Fourie Kotze (Grandmaster Men) completed the rest of the Individual Winner places.
