Prego Steak Rolls

Red Wine Marinated Steak Prego

Prep time: 20 mins excl. marinating time /Cook time: 10 mins  /Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 300g Rump Steak
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 3x Rosemary Sprigs
  • 3x Bay Leaves
  • 1x Large Brown Onion
  • 1x Large Tomato
  • 15ml prego sauce
  • 2 Portuguese Rolls
  • 250ml Leopards Leap Cabernet Sauvignon

Method:

In a dish add your crushed garlic, bay leaf and rosemary. Place your steak on top of your aromatics and add 250ml Leopard’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon to cover half the steak.

Leave to marinade for 2 hours, turning the steak around after the first hour.

Braai the steak to preference over high heat once marinaded.

In a pan, add your chopped onions and cook until golden and soft.

Halve the Portuguese Roll and add 15ml of prego sauce, followed by your steak, tomato, onions and close up the roll.

Serve with Leopard’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon.
