ALABAMA SLAMMER RECIPE

In the 1988 movie, Cocktail, Tom Cruise plays the role of a bartender and the self-proclaimed Last Barman Poet. The Alabama Slammer cocktail makes it into the poem and into the guide of most popular cocktails of the eighties.

It is all at once nutty and sweet with herbal notes, spices and citrus. Sounds perfect for summer and the festive season! To enjoy its true Southern splendour, mix it in a tall glass with lots of ice and freshly squeezed orange juice.

Ingredients

30 ml Southern Comfort

15 ml Inverroche Verdant gin

30 ml Leopard’s Leap Chenin Blanc

30 ml amaretto liqueur

60 ml orange juice

Method

Pour all the ingredients into a shaker with ice, and shake.

Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice.

Garnish with an orange wedge and enjoy!
