CHARDONNAY MARGARITA RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 100 ml Leopard’s Leap Chardonnay
  • 25 ml Cinzano Bianco
  • 10 ml of lime juice
  • 25 ml apple cinnamon syrup (see recipe below) Crushed ice

Apple cinnamon syrup

  • 500 ml of boiling water
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, sliced
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 100 ml of sugar

Bring the water to the boil in a pot. Place the apple slices in the water together with the cinnamon sticks. Boil for 20 minutes or until apple slices are soft, then remove slices and cinnamon sticks, but do not discard. Add the sugar. Boil for 5 minutes, then remove from heat to cool. Put apple slices and cinnamon sticks back into the mixture to infuse the cinnamon syrup.

Garnish

Cinnamon sugar and three thinly sliced apple half-moons.

Method

Mix all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker.

Serving

Margarita glass, with crushed ice.
