Amongst all the fine-dining establishments of South Africa’s Gourmet Capital, Franschhoek, Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards now introduces an informal and relaxed food-and-wine experience focussing on uncomplicated, fresh and seasonal food, full of flavour and beautifully complimented by Leopard’s Leap wines.

“We are very excited about adding a family-friendly, laid-back lunch option to the Franschhoek food offering”, says Leopard’s Leap CEO Hein Koegelenberg.

Rotisserie-based lunches with tender and juicy meats from the state-of-the-art spit are complemented by an array of farm baked breads as well as a beautiful selection of side dishes such as seasonal salads and roasted vegetables sourced from the organic vegetable and herb garden on the farm. Dessert offers a tempting choice of individual portions such as cake lollies, baked mini-cheesecakes and baby meringues.

Bursting with youthful energy and inspiration, chef Pieter de Jager will ensure guests are bowled over by the beautiful flavours from the rotisserie as well as decadent pastries, cakes and take-home meals.

With its wide stoep, contemporary open spaces and stretched out lawn, Leopard’s Leap caters for the whole family. Complementing the informal lunches is a breakfast selection of pastries and freshly brewed coffee (or some Leopard’s Leap newly released MCC!) in the morning and seductive sunset wine cocktails over weekends. It is the ideal venue for birthdays, family get-togethers and special celebrations. The food offering is available from Wednesdays to Sundays from 10:00 to 17:00.

A tempting selection of culinary and wine-related items, gifts and take-away delights will also be available from the shop.
