LEOPARD’S LEAP VINEYARDS IS OFFICIALLY OPEN

Just recently, Leopard’s Leap Wines obtained a new “home” only a stone’s throw from Franschhoek village, where its passion for fine wines and fine food can be expressed to the full, while a host of hospitality attractions can be shared with its visitors.

A major leap forward is its newly formed partnership with renowned international chef Liam Tomlin – the  drive behind Liam Tomlin Food. With culinary expertise gained world-wide, Tomlin brings with him the popular concept of the Chef’s Warehouse, introducing a completely new food and wine experience to Franschhoek. Following the success in Cape Town, the culinary studio will be offering food enthusiasts an ongoing series of hands-on classes and chef’s tables – presenting demonstration lunches and cookery sessions – as well as themed courses by leading chefs and culinary experts from around the world. First on the itinerary is Michelin Star recipient, Irish chef Richard Corrigan.

In conjunction with the cookery school, Leopard’s Leap now has its own fully-fledged tasting room where wine ambassadors will introduce visitors to its versatile range. For shoppers, there is a culinary store offering a large variety of internationally renowned kitchen equipment, appliances, crockery, cutlery, glass ware, knives and utensils as well as gourmet ingredients and inspiring recipe books.

Hein Koegelenberg, CEO of Leopard’s Leap Wines: “We believe that the Leopard’s Leap brand deserves to be taken to the next level, following its astounding success over the past five years. To us it means creating a place where wine and food lovers can get close to the brand, its identity and its passions – wine, food, conservation and involvement in a variety of significant literary events.”

Visitors to the Franschhoek region, driving along the R45, can be on the look-out towards the mountain side, to spot an imposing statue of a leopard – their guide to the Valley’s most exciting new tourist destination!
